i got sadness by enigma klopping on my headphones and its on shuffle so im anticipating the next track cos i love surprises! maybe a dope premier beat or a two ronnies sketch/ all the while im reading this oscar pistorious madness which is really sad, and without fail something hairpins in the news and people immediately start conjuring up puns and the like as if they were anxiously anticipating the next tweetworthy event (the way i anticipate the next track which by the way was duel of the fates from phantom menace), one trying outdo the other with witty puns and/or understanding/analysis of the subject at hand. you're not gona stop them so best embrace it (with a four-point-frown).
if you're gona have a go at the guy don't go for the deuce (the shooting AND his disability), im sure he's devastated about the shooting now you gota do a double-tap and throw in amputee jokes too?? no man behave yourselves. current affairs and hot news topics we can all agree do become social media fads and bandwagons to some extent but some folk just go overboard and it's all egotistically inclined - 'who said it first' - jy wiet. im almost certain that sentence is gramatically incorrect. onward and upward.
nevertheless, its a sad day for oscar and reeva's friends and famron. i would say my thoughts go out to them but unfortunately i have no thoughts to go out as im swamped with work this day but perhaps i could spare a thought. social media is the perfect condolences platform, even if the people involved never see it, as long as others can see that you care.
would the reaction have been the same if it were oscar ryneveld and his girlfriend blanche?
sad or fad? - it be both.
